Tony Gale, Vice President and General Manager
Tony Gale is vice president and general manager of NextBus. An executive with more than 20 years of experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) as well as domestic and international IT/Geographic Information System (GIS) markets, Tony brings to NextBus a diverse background of technical and solutions-oriented experience, along with his success in operational roles. With a commitment to delivering customer value and shareholder return, he oversees all NextBus functions, including program management, customer service, technical support, and field service.
Prior to joining NextBus, Tony was general manager of TripSpark Technologies’ School Transportation Division, a business unit of Trapeze Software. His previous leadership roles include profit and loss leadership, operations, program management, business development and sales and marketing. Tony has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Master’s in Remote Sensing/GIS from the University of London (Imperial and University Colleges).
Blair Brown, Director, Operations
Blair is NextBus’s operations director and is responsible for day-to-day project management, service operations and delivering excellent customer experience. His 25-year career spans numerous industries, including software, technology, customer-oriented enterprises, and non-profits. Blair is no stranger to NextBus, as he was vice president of sales for the company from 2001 to 2004. During this time, he was involved with the launch of NextBus for San Francisco Muni—one of NextBus’ largest customers to date—and played a key role in setting the foundation for the then-fledgling business. Recently, Blair oversaw operations and expansion efforts for a large synagogue in the Bay Area. During his tenure there, his operations, marketing, sales and financial oversight led to a 40% rise in membership. He maintains a connection to the organization as an active member.
Blair holds his undergraduate degree from UCLA and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. A staunch adherent of the “work hard, play hard” motto, he enjoys playing soccer and shredding the slopes on skis when not driving NextBus forward.
Olivier Terrien, Head of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Line of Business
Olivier oversees all sales, product management, and marketing efforts related to the TMS line of business, of which NextBus is an integral part. Building upon NextBus’ status as a leader in real-time passenger information, the TMS expands the scope of NextBus to encompass mobile ticketing and computer-aided dispatch capabilities. Olivier brings 20 years of worldwide business development leadership, including extensive experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Internet of Things—both of which are focal points of NextBus products and strategy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at IEA Paris and received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Olivier is an expert linguist—fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. He’s also an avid bicycling enthusiast, frequently pedaling his way to work through the streets of the Bay Area.
Mohsen Fahim, Vice President, Engineering
Mohsen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Engineering at NextBus, including engineering vision and strategy as well as delivery. He has over 20 years of progressive experience in software application development and system delivery within diverse industries such as transportation, financial, aerospace and various information technology companies. Prior to joining NextBus, Mohsen was a director of technology for Alysis Technologies, Inc., and a partner at Keyon Technologies, a software consulting firm. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
